1. Información que recopilamos

Account information: your name, email, and password (or your Google/other login) when you sign up.

Content you create or upload: notes, folders, flashcards, quizzes, calendar events, and any files you add to a workspace (PDFs, slides, documents, and similar).

Usage data: pages you visit, features you use, and basic device/browser info, collected to keep the app working and to fix bugs.

Payment information: if you subscribe to Pro, billing is handled by Stripe. We don't store your card number, Stripe does.

2. Cómo usamos la IA

When you ask Studycamp to summarize a file, generate flashcards, build a quiz, or chat about your notes, that content is sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate a response.

We don't let OpenAI or any other AI provider use your content to train their models. Your files and notes are processed to serve your request, not to build someone else's model.

AI output is generated automatically and can be wrong. Treat it as a study aid, not a source of truth, always double-check against your actual course material.

3. Cómo compartimos información

We don't sell your data. We share it only with the services that make Studycamp work:

  • OpenAI, to generate summaries, flashcards, quizzes, and chat responses from your content.
  • Stripe, to process Pro subscription payments.
  • Our cloud storage and hosting providers (including AWS S3), to store your uploaded files and keep the app running.
  • Third-party tools you connect yourself, like Google Drive, Notion, or Zotero, only for the data you choose to sync.

4. Almacenamiento y seguridad de datos

Your data is stored on encrypted infrastructure with access limited to what's needed to run the service.

We use industry-standard practices (encryption in transit, scoped access controls) to protect your account and content, but no system is 100% secure. Use a strong, unique password.

5. Cookies y seguimiento

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences (like language and theme).

We use limited analytics to understand which features people actually use, so we can improve the app. We don't run third-party ad trackers.

6. Tus derechos y opciones

You can access, edit, or delete your notes, files, and flashcards at any time from inside the app.

You can export your data or request a full copy by emailing us.

You can delete your account from Settings, this permanently removes your content from our systems, subject to backups noted below.

If you're in the EU/EEA or UK, you have rights under GDPR, including access, correction, deletion, and data portability. If you're a California resident, you have similar rights under the CCPA.

7. Retención de datos

We keep your content for as long as your account is active. When you delete a note, file, or your account, it's removed from active systems immediately and purged from backups within 30 days.

8. Privacidad de los niños

Studycamp is meant for students aged 13 and up. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

9. Usuarios internacionales

Studycamp is used by students worldwide. Your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States, by us or the service providers listed above. We take steps to keep it protected wherever it's processed.

10. Cambios a esta política

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll notify you by email or with a notice in the app before the changes take effect.
